For Harv, that raw image is his self -- a universal human person. In Harv's PhD case study, he is the modeler modeling his self into his own dynamic image of a self with multiple faces. Thus, the essence of Harv-the-modeler begins with understanding just what the human self can be (ill-defined specifically, and generally).
