The brain’s memory stores the gist of what the memory was about. Harv frequently was aware of a pause in his learning focus — to mull, to muse, or to reflect on what was learned. There are no words to that gist in the brain, unless Harv’s mind sets to expressing the learning to his self or others. Thus — scientifically — journals exist to force gist ideas to mature from soft brain ‘feel’ into hard expression.
